Rodolphe Chabrier is a visual effects supervisor at MacGuff, which he co-founded in 1986. He has been President of MacGuff since 2011. With MacGuff, he co-directed the world's first 3D CG series, La vie des bêtes. This was followed by a series of credits and TV packages for all French TV channels. Since 1986, as VFX supervisor or studio manager, he has managed over a hundred feature films, with directors such as Mathieu Kassovitz, Bertrand Tavernier, Robert Zemeckis, Louis Leterrier, Jan Kounen and Alexandre Aja, as well as series such as Le bureau des légendes, Lupin and Tapie. In 2020, he was awarded a César Technique for the Face Engine, an artificial intelligence device for face manipulation, which he used on Thierry Ardisson's L'hôtel du temps. The now obvious irruption of artificial intelligence into the world of images has meant that since 2018, he has been focusing primarily on these new technologies. FaceEngine now multiplies into BodyEngine and GlobalEngine. To give himself the means to develop this technology, he has created and manages MacGuff's AI department.
