How to get to Lyon


By train

The SNCF network serves Lyon from all major cities in France.

The SNCF Lyon Part-Dieu station is located 10 minutes away by public transport.

The SNCF Lyon Perrache station is 20 minutes away by public transport.

By bus

You can organize your coming by using carpooling.

 

By car

Lyon is at the center of a dense road network, which connects it to major European cities and throughout France.

  • From Geneva, via the A40, you can reach Lyon in 1 hour and 40 minutes
  • From Clermont-Ferrand via the A72 in 2 hours
  • From Turin via the A43 or Marseille via the A7 in 3 hours
  • From Paris via the A6 in 4 hours 20 minutes
  • From Barcelona via the A9 in 6 hours

 

By plane

For your air travel, think about offsetting! A number of organizations offer to offset your greenhouse gas emissions. To find out more and take action, visit : Stock CO2, ReforestAction or GoodPlanet.

A plane journey emits up to 80 times more emissions than a train journey, so to reduce your impact, the best solution is to use the train or any other low-carbon mode of transport to get to the MIFC.

The Lyon Saint Exupéry airport is located 25km from Lyon.

The Rhône Express commutes to Lyon Part-Dieu train station every 15min, from 4:25 am to midnight.

By public transportation

The nearest metro station, Monplaisir-Lumière, is on line D.

To come by bus, the C16 takes you to the Monplaisir Lumière and Place Ambroise Courtois stops.
