Sylvain Devarieux is Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Le Film français.
Sylvain Devarieux is deputy editor-in-chief of Le Film français, in charge of digital and a specialist in cinema distribution. He began his career as a local correspondent in the Avignon editorial office of La Provence.
After training at the CFPJ on rue du Louvre in Paris, he went on to work as an editor at Jeune à Paris and France Soir, then as an SR at Télé Poche and Télé Star before joining Le Film Français in 2012, initially as a web editor.
A regular attendee of the Lumière Festival and MIFC for over 10 years, he keeps a close eye on the latest news in heritage cinema and its distribution. Outside the film industry, he has also worked as a freelance writer and translator for a number of independent and specialist publishers, particularly in the field of board games and role-playing games.
