The CST is, in France, the oldest association of cinema and audiovisual technicians. It promotes the quality of technical work and the respect of image and sound throughout the production chain, benefiting both the director’s vision and the viewer’s comfort. The CST’s missions are expressed through the sharing of best professional practices, notably through the drafting of technical recommendations, providing the sector’s concerted response to a given technological challenge. The CST values the contribution of each technician to the production, distribution, and preservation of works.
