Jean-Fabrice Janaudy

Jean-Fabrice Janaudy is director of the distribution company Les Acacias.

After brief experiences at the Cinéma Opéra - Lyon and the UGC Les Halles - Paris, he spent eighteen years being trained by a leading figure in the profession: Simon Simsi (1938-2018). His cinephilia, which goes back to childhood, can finally be expressed within the distribution company Les Acacias, which he has been running since 2018, continuing to release contemporary films as well as classics. Working alongside his mentor, he has also learned to manage and programme cinemas with editorial lines as diverse as the Reflet Médicis - Paris (2000-2006), the Max Linder - Paris (2004-2016) and the Vincennes (since 2002). With a strong commitment to the transmission of knowledge, he regularly lectures at Femis and at university, and on request accompanies the repertory films he distributes in cinemas.
