Ariel Schweitzer
Ariel Schweitzer is a film historian, critic, author and teacher (Paris VIII, Tel Aviv Univeristy).
Author of Le nouveau cinéma israélien (Yellow Now, 2013), translated into Hebrew in 2017, and Le Cinéma israélien de la modernité (L'Harmattan, 1997), also published in Israel in 2003.
A critic and member of the editorial board of Cahiers du cinéma, he is also the Hebrew translator of Robert Bresson's ‘Notes sur le cinématographe’ and the curator of numerous retrospectives devoted to, among others, Bresson, Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Rivette, Jean Eustache, Vittorio De Sica, Jonas Mekas, Amos Gitai, David Perlov and Uri Zohar.
