Michel Gomez is an economist and former Delegate of the Cinema Mission of the Paris City Hall.

An economist by training (Paris IX Dauphine University), he is a researcher (CREFED) and lecturer at Paris IX University and the National Institute of Nuclear Technology (CEA) in the economics of imbalances and the economics of technological innovation.
After serving as Administrator of the Directors' Fortnight (Cannes Film Festival) and then General Delegate of the Society of Film Directors, he joined L'ARP (Civil Society of Authors, Directors and Producers) in 1986 and became its General Delegate in October 2003.
On September 1, 2009, he became Delegate of the Cinema Mission of the Paris City Hall, which he left on February 1, 2025.
