Accessibility

Accessibility is at the heart of our commitment. It is very important for us to make our venues accessible to as many people as possible, so that every professional can take part in the Market’s programme and events.

The MIFC team is committed to doing its utmost to meet the specific needs of anyone requiring special assistance to attend the Marché.

For any specific requests or assistance, please email us at production-mifc@festival-lumiere.org

ACCESS TO THE MARKET AND PARTNER VENUES

This year, the MIFC will take place in the heart of Lyon, within the Cité du Grand Hôtel-Dieu.

The entire Cité du Grand Hôtel-Dieu is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The Market’s facilities are also fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
A number of measures have been put in place to ensure convenient and comfortable access:

  • a ramp for PRM leading to the building’s entrance
  • a reception desk for PRM
  • 2 elevators providing access to all floors
  • 4 accessible toilets for people with reduced mobility

Some of our cinema partners are also equipped to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility.

  • Pathé Bellecour is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and those with hearing impairments. Elevators are available to access the rooms. It is also possible to request assistance.
  • UGC Ciné Cité Confluence offers the Greta app (available on iOS and Android) to provide a personalised, independent cinema experience with audio description, amplified sound and captions. The cinema is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, with elevators available.

The Lumière Bellecour cinema is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

GETTING AROUND LYON

As the Cité de l’Hôtel-Dieu is located downtown, there are numerous public transports links nearby.

The Bellecour, Cordeliers and Gare Part-Dieu metro stations, as well as most of the TCL network, are accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to elevators. Please visit the TCL website for more information on real-time lift availability and the accessibility of the city’s various transport services.

As the distance between the Market venues and some partner cinemas (Pathé Bellecour, Lumière Bellecour, Comoedia) is relatively short, you can also move between them without using public transport. The streets and pavements are suitable for people with reduced mobility.
