Claire Brunel is the co-director of the Wim Wenders Foundation.
After high school in France, Claire completed a BSc degree in International Business at the University of Warwick in the UK. While graduating, she started working for the arthouse label Coproduction Office (The Square, Triangle of Sadness) in Berlin, where she subsequently occupied various positions before heading the marketing & press department for two years.
In 2012, she was hired by Wenders’ production company Road Movies to support the producers of the international coproduction Cathedrals of Culture (Berlinale 2014), while simultaneously following the D2A Program of theUniversity of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. She completed her Master degree in Law, Economy and Media Managementin 2014 and joined the Wim Wenders Foundation this same year, two years after its creation. She first focused on the marketing & press activities of the Foundation before moving to licensing and legal affairs and finally taking over the management together with Hella Wenders in 2020. Claire overlooks the finances of the Foundation, as well as the legal and distribution aspects of its nearly 60 films and Wenders’ growing photographic oeuvre joining the Foundation.
She is a passionate multitasker and member of the European Film Academy.
