Aimé Besson

Audiovisual Attaché, Institut Français in Greece

A cultural diplomacy professional, Aimé Besson has held various positions in the film and audiovisual sectors, both in France and Latin America — notably in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico — before joining the Institut français de Grèce as Audiovisual Attaché. His career reflects a strong interest in film heritage. In particular, he devoted his research dissertation to French and Spanish cinematheques in the digital age (Grenoble Institute of Political Studies – 2009). He has also actively contributed to discussions surrounding the Institut français’s Cinémathèque Afrique, as well as to the international promotion and export of French film heritage as part of his work at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
