Senior Programmer, Eye Filmmuseum

Leo van Hee has been a film programmer with Eye Filmmuseum since 1999. As Senior Programmer he is responsible for retrospectives, series and daily repertory programming, as well as the acquisition of classic films for Eye’s collection and distribution in The Netherlands. He has been a series editor for the Framing Film book series of Eye and Amsterdam University Press since 2015.  

Eye is the Dutch museum for film, located on Amsterdam’s IJ harbour, with four cinemas, exhibition spaces, a bar-restaurant and a collection of more than 60,000 films from all genres.  Eye also closely follows the latest developments in cinema, by screening new films and organizing exhibitions, debates and educational activities.
